東京エレクトロン主宰「solaé art gallery project」は、赤坂Bizタワー25階に位置する東京エレクトロンの 社員食堂「solaé」に展示空間を設け、若手アーティストに発表の場を提供するプロジェクトです。気鋭のア ーティストたちが創造性豊かな作品を展開することで社内にインスピレーションを与える空間を生み出すと 共に、アートとテクノロジーやサイエンスが融合する表現やその作家たちを積極的に応援することを目的と しています。

今期は、植物を建築図面のごとく緻密に描き出すアーティスト・村山誠の作品を展開いたします。植物の構 造を完璧にビジュアライズしていく村山の作品は、自ら採取した植物を徹底的に観察することからスタート します。幾度に渡ってスケッチを重ね、一片の花びらや花粉に至るまで解剖した植物の断片や組織をルーペ や顕微鏡で覗いてその構造を調べ上げた後、CG上でモデリングしていく膨大な作業を繰り返します。こうし た科学的なプロセスを辿ると同時に、村山のイメージと精密なCG造形によって、現実世界にはありえない 左右完全対称の崇高な植物が再構築されています。真摯な科学的視点と卓越したCGテクノロジー、そしてア ートの融合による唯一無二のボタニカルアート、ぜひ会場でお楽しみください。

レセプション当日は作家とキュレーターによるトークイベントも開催いたします。一般への公開は下記レセ プション日のみとなりますが、この機会に足をお運びいただけると幸いです。
